About this guide

Rainbow Quarter is an independent guide to Blackpool's LGBTQ+ scene: its bars, cabaret, hotels, saunas, events, support services and history. It is written for visitors planning a trip and for people who live here.

How we check listings

Every venue, event and service on this site has been checked against current, public information: the venue's own website and published listings, licensing records, official tourism and council pages, and recent dated evidence that a place is trading. Each page shows when we last checked it.

Where we could not confirm something, such as opening hours or whether a group still meets, we say so on the page rather than guess. Venues we could not confirm as open, or as welcoming LGBTQ+ customers, are left out until we can.

What we will never do

• Take payment to list or rank a venue.
• Publish fake reviews or ratings.
• Publish personal details of private individuals.

Independence

We are not part of Blackpool Council, the Be You programme, Blackpool Pride or any venue. Mentions of the Be You programme and Pride describe their public work.

Corrections

Opening hours and line-ups change often. If something on this site is out of date, we want to fix it.
