The village is in Southside, in Birmingham city centre beside the Chinese Quarter, centred on Hurst Street and running into Kent Street, Gooch Street and Sherlock Street. The Smallbrook Queensway section of the inner ring road forms its edge, and the Hippodrome theatre and Arcadian centre are next door.
