Rainbow QuarterBlackpool's inclusive quarter: everyone welcome

The Beaumont Society

The UK's longest-established transgender support organisation, founded in 1966, with a confidential helpline.

The Beaumont Society was founded in 1966 and describes itself as the longest-established transgender support group in the UK. For decades it was the main national network for cross-dressers and trans people, at a time when there was almost nothing else, and it still runs a confidential helpline and a members' network.

It is a national organisation. In Blackpool, the long-running Renaissance trans support group, which has always welcomed cross-dressers as well as trans people, is the nearest face-to-face equivalent.
