Blackpool Rainbow Alliance

A community interest company supporting LGBTQ+ communities in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, best known for the Rainbow Quarter Street Party.

Blackpool Rainbow Alliance is a community interest company set up to support LGBTQ+ communities across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. It grew out of the council's Be You programme for the Rainbow Quarter and is now one of its partners.

What they offer

  • The Rainbow Quarter Street Party, a free celebration on Lord Street during Pride weekend, organised with more than 20 local businesses.
  • Community events that bring LGBTQ+ people, venues and neighbours together.
  • A voice for the quarter's LGBTQ+ community in the Be You partnership.

The street party

The first Rainbow Quarter Street Party took place over Pride weekend in June 2026, running from Springfield Road to Cocker Street. It drew about 3,000 people over two days, with more than 24 performers. Planning has already started for a bigger street party in 2027, alongside Blackpool Pride on the Promenade.

How to get in touch

The alliance doesn't have a standalone website. Tickets and event listings appear on its event ticketing page, linked here.

Good to know

  • The street party is free, but some events may need a ticket, so check listings before you go.
  • Pride dates for 2027 haven't been announced yet. The festival is usually held on the first full weekend of June.
  • If you run a business in the quarter and want to get involved, the alliance and the Be You Business Quality Mark are good places to start.
