Electric Pink Voices

Blackpool's LGBTQ+ community choir, which rehearses every Tuesday evening and welcomes new members.

Electric Pink Voices is Blackpool's LGBTQ+ community choir. It is a sociable, welcoming way to meet people, and you don't need to have sung in a choir before.

What they offer

  • Weekly rehearsals open to new members.
  • Performances at community and heritage events around the town. The choir has sung at Showtown, Blackpool's museum of entertainment, and was booked to close a daytime LGBTQ+ storytelling event at Funny Girls in October 2026 with a newly commissioned arrangement.
  • Friendship, fun and the lift that comes from singing together.

When and where

Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm at The Old Electric on Springfield Road, a short walk from the Rainbow Quarter and Blackpool North station.

How to get in touch

Visit the choir's website to find out more or say you would like to join.

Good to know

  • Community choirs usually welcome all voices and levels of experience. If you are nervous, ask whether you can come and listen to a rehearsal first.
  • The Old Electric also hosted the first installation of the town's We're Still Here! LGBTQ+ heritage project.
  • If you would like other ways to get creative, the Rainbow Creative Hub in St Annes is an arts club for LGBT+ people.
