LGBTQ+ Swimming Group, Blackpool
A free monthly hour in the pool just for LGBTQ+ swimmers, with a qualified coach and unisex changing rooms.
Some details here may be out of date. Check with the group before you go.
Lancashire LGBT runs a monthly swimming session in Blackpool just for LGBTQ+ people. The group has sole use of the pool for an hour, which makes it a comfortable option if busy public sessions or changing rooms put you off.
What they offer
- An hour in the pool reserved for LGBTQ+ swimmers.
- A qualified coach who can help you improve your stroke or learn from scratch.
- All abilities welcome, from nervous beginners to regular lane swimmers.
- Unisex changing rooms.
When and where
The swim takes place on the last Thursday of each month, from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. The session on Thursday 29 October 2026 is listed.
The pool has been Moor Park Leisure Centre in Bispham, but we have not been able to confirm that it is still the venue. You will be told where to go when you register, so check with the organisers before you go.
