Lytham Let Live

An informal daytime friendship meet-up for LGBT people on the Fylde, held once a month in Lytham.

Some details here may be out of date. Check with the group before you go.

Lytham Let Live, also known as the Fylde LGBT Friendship Group, is an informal social group for LGBT people living on the Fylde coast. It meets during the day, which suits people who would rather not head out late at night, and its relaxed format may particularly appeal to older members of the community.

What they offer

  • A monthly, friendly daytime meet-up over coffee.
  • A chance to make friends locally, away from the bars.
  • A welcoming space for people who are new to the area, have recently come out, or simply want more LGBT friends nearby.

When and where

The group has met on the first Wednesday of each month, from 10am to 12pm, at The Trawlboat, Wood Street, Lytham St Annes.

The group asks people to register before attending. These details come from a listing that may be dated, so check with the group before you go.

How to get in touch

The group has an account on X under the name @lythamlet, which is the best place to ask about the next meet-up and how to register.

Good to know

  • Lytham is easy to reach from Blackpool by bus or train.
  • If you prefer evenings, Blackpool Allies holds a social evening twice a month on Tuesdays at the Horizon centre on Dickson Road.
  • For something creative, the Rainbow Creative Hub in nearby St Annes is an arts club for LGBT+ people.
