Transparent

A free monthly support meet-up in Blackpool for parents of trans children and trans adults.

Some details here may be out of date. Check with the group before you go.

Transparent is a support group for parents of trans people in Blackpool. Whether your child is young, a teenager or an adult, and whether they came out last week or years ago, it is a place to meet other parents who understand.

What they offer

  • A monthly meet-up with other parents of trans children and adults.
  • A chance to ask questions, share worries and swap practical advice without judgement.
  • Friendship and reassurance from people a little further along the same road.

Many parents find the first months after a child comes out confusing, even when they are fully supportive. Talking to others who have been there can make a real difference, both for you and for your child.

When and where

The group meets monthly in Blackpool. The venue and date are given when you get in touch.

These details come from a listing we couldn't date, so check with the group before you go.
