United Youth Alliance
A Fylde coast youth organisation that runs Youth Pride in Blackpool and leads the Be You Youth Provider Quality Mark.
United Youth Alliance is a community interest company on the Fylde coast that runs youth social action projects, training and events. It has organised Youth Pride in Blackpool since 2018, and in 2023 it received the King's Award for Voluntary Service.
What they offer
- Youth Pride, the youth area at Blackpool Pride, with free events for under-18s every June.
- Youth social action projects, where young people plan and lead change in their community.
- The Rainbow Equality Group.
- Training and events for young people.
The Be You Youth Provider Quality Mark
The council funds United Youth Alliance to lead the Be You Youth Provider Quality Mark. It recognises youth organisations that build LGBTQ+ inclusion into what they do, and its framework was shaped by young LGBTQ+ people themselves. If you run a youth club, sports team or other service for young people and want to work towards the mark, United Youth Alliance is the place to start.
