UR Potential LGBT youth groups
A Blackpool youth organisation running LGBT youth groups for 13 to 25-year-olds across the Fylde coast, plus family support.
UR Potential is a Blackpool youth and community organisation with a long record of LGBT youth work. It runs groups for LGBT and non-binary young people across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre and holds the Lancashire LGBT inclusion quality mark.
What they offer
- Three LGBT youth groups across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre for young people aged 13 to 25.
- A trans-only group for young trans people.
- A family support group for parents and carers.
- A youth voice group, giving young LGBT people a say in services that affect them.
- A hate crime third-party reporting centre, so young people and adults can report homophobic or transphobic incidents without going to the police directly.
When and where
UR Potential is based at 296 Central Drive, south of the town centre. Group times and venues vary across the Fylde coast, so get in touch to find the right group for you.

- If you are nervous about going for the first time, it is fine to email first and ask what a session is like.
- Parents and carers can contact the family group even if their young person isn't ready to attend anything themselves.
- For one-to-one counselling, Youtherapy offers free NHS support to 11 to 25-year-olds.
- Every June, Youth Pride at Blackpool Pride offers free events for under-18s.
