We're Still Here! LGBTQIA+ heritage exhibitions

Two exhibitions at Showtown and the Grundy drawing on community memories and archive photos, planned for February to June 2027.

We could not confirm this is still running. Check with the organiser before you go.

The We're Still Here! heritage project is planning two exhibitions in 2027, one at Showtown and one at the Grundy Art Gallery, running across February to June 2027.

They draw on community memories and archive photographs to mark 20 years of Blackpool Pride. The project also links them to two anniversaries: 60 years since the 1967 Act and 40 years since Section 28.

We're Still Here! is run by Abingdon Studios with National Lottery Heritage Fund support, and is building Blackpool's first permanent collection of LGBTQIA+ heritage.

Dates to be confirmed: only the February to June window has been announced so far, so check exact opening dates and times before you visit.

Get involved: if you have photos, stories or objects from the scene, the project would love to hear from you.

Details last checked 8 October 2026. Times and line-ups change, so confirm with the venue before you travel.
