Where We Belong: Sandgrown Song Cycle
Six local choirs premiere new songs inspired by the stories of LGBTQ+ people in Blackpool, at the Grand Theatre.
Where We Belong: Sandgrown Song Cycle is a one-night concert at Blackpool Grand Theatre on Sunday 8 November 2026, where six local choirs sing six new songs inspired by the experiences of LGBTQ+ people in Blackpool.
The words grew out of stories shared through local community groups, and the choirs taking part are BMS Contemporary Choir, Blackpool Male Voice Choir, Capricorn Singers, Waterloo Women's Choir, Encore Singers and Electric Pink Voices, the town's LGBTQ+ community choir.
Times: doors open at 6.30pm and the performance starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets: £15 plus booking fees, from the Grand's website or the box office on 01253 290190.
Good to know: the complete song cycle is due to premiere at the Hand in Hand LGBTQ+ choir festival when it comes to Blackpool in August 2027, so this is an early chance to hear it at home.
