Funny Girls marked 32 years in July, its first birthday under new ownership.
The team marked the day by thanking the audiences who have brought birthdays, anniversaries, hen parties and reunions through its doors over the years. Those nights out are what turned it into far more than a venue.
From its early days on Queen Street to the art deco former Odeon on Dickson Road, it has become one of the best-known drag venues in the country. The birthday came in the middle of the Hot Girl Summer run, with its new-look stage and ABBA number among the highlights.
