Just Be Me: a new musical for Pride's 20th

Harry Clayton-Wright's Mr Blackpool finished its spring tour where it belongs: a homecoming gala at the Blackpool Grand Theatre, with the run listed from 20 May.
Think of it as a seaside variety show for the end of the world. Set in a near future shaped by climate collapse and late-stage capitalism, it mixes cabaret, drag, dance, magic and sideshow with autobiography and Blackpool legend. Four Blackpool performers take turns on stage, including dance duo Aysh and Sam De Belle and Blake Rainey.
Before coming home, the 2026 tour opened at The Lowry in Salford and played three nights at Brighton Festival. The production was commissioned by Marlborough Productions and the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, with Arts Council England support.
It is a proper love letter to the town's variety tradition, and a reminder of how much queer talent Blackpool has always had. Tickets were listed from £15.
