What it is and who it welcomes

The Dragonfly, at 75 Lord Street, is a small adults-only guesthouse in the cluster of B&Bs near the sea end of Lord Street. It has been described as gay-owned, and it appears among the quarter's LGBTQ+-friendly places to stay. Ownership seems to have changed in recent years, and it is now generally listed as a welcoming, mixed guesthouse rather than a specifically gay one. LGBTQ+ guests continue to stay and rate it well.

Rooms and breakfast

The Dragonfly runs as a traditional B&B, and breakfast is included in the room rate. There is an in-house bar for a drink before you head out. The guesthouse does not publish a room list online, so ask about room types and en-suite facilities when you book.

Location

You are at the North Pier end of Lord Street. Gabrielle's, McGraths, DeLovely and Westfield House are all within a few doors. The promenade and North Pier are a few minutes away. The Lord Street bars, Funny Girls and the Queen Street clubs are about five to ten minutes' walk, and Blackpool North station is about ten minutes on foot.

Parking

On Lord Street, one side is free and unrestricted. The other has daytime restrictions from Monday to Saturday in the main season. The Cocker Street, Cocker Square and Bank Street car parks are within a few minutes' walk. See our parking and arrival guide.

Accessibility

No accessibility information is published. Expect stairs, as in most Lord Street guesthouses.
