Westfield House
A small, gay-owned and gay-run, adults-only Edwardian guest house with a four-star rating on Lord Street.
What it is and who it welcomes
Westfield House, at 78 Lord Street, is a gay-owned and gay-run guesthouse in an Edwardian townhouse at the promenade end of the Rainbow Quarter. It is adults-only and has a four-star rating from the national tourist board. Its regulars are mostly gay couples and friends who come for a quiet, comfortable base close to the scene.
It does not take group, stag or hen bookings. That keeps the atmosphere calm, even on the busiest Blackpool weekends.
Rooms
All the bedrooms are en-suite, with quality bed linen and a Fairtrade hospitality tray. All rooms are non-smoking. The house is small, so book early for Pride, event weekends and the Illuminations season.
Breakfast and lounge bar
A full breakfast is served each morning. There is a lounge bar area where guests can have a drink before heading out, or a nightcap after a show at Funny Girls.
Location
Westfield House is on the stretch of Lord Street nearest the sea. DeLovely is a few doors along, and McGraths, Gabrielle's and The Dragonfly are all close by. North Pier and the promenade are a few minutes away. The Lord Street bars, Funny Girls and the Queen Street clubs are about five to ten minutes' walk, and Blackpool North station is about ten minutes on foot. The nearest tram stop is Pleasant Street.
Parking
Westfield House offers discounted parking vouchers for a nearby public car park. Ask when you book. One side of Lord Street has free, unrestricted on-street parking, but it fills up quickly. See our parking and arrival guide.
Accessibility
No property-specific access information is published. Like its neighbours, this is a period terraced house with stairs to the upper floors. Ring ahead if you need a lower room.
