Adelaide Street

The south side of the Winter Gardens, and the name of an LGBT quality-mark GP practice.

Adelaide Street runs along the south side of the Winter Gardens, in the heart of the town centre. The Grade II* listed Winter Gardens is bounded by Church Street to the north, Leopold Grove to the east, Adelaide Street to the south and Coronation Street to the west. Its Adelaide Street side has a goods entrance, and a white faience entrance stands on the corner of Leopold Grove.

Adelaide Street Family Practice

Adelaide Street Family Practice holds the county's LGBT inclusion quality mark, meaning it has worked to make the surgery welcoming for LGBTQ+ patients. Despite the name, the practice is now registered at 61 Elizabeth Street (FY1 3JG); its old Adelaide Street building is no longer its registered site.
