Rainbow QuarterBlackpool's inclusive quarter: everyone welcome

Pleasant Street

The northern edge of the quarter, where Lord Street ends, with The Dame Lane bar and B&B.

Pleasant Street is where the Rainbow Quarter gives way to the rest of North Shore. It crosses Dickson Road, Lord Street and High Street, and links with Egerton Road, Exchange Street, Lynn Grove and Braithwaite Street. It is about 200 metres long and about 0.3 miles from Blackpool North station, the furthest north of the quarter's side streets, with the postcodes FY1 2HU and FY1 2JA.

On the street

  • The Dame Lane at 4 Pleasant Street is a licensed bed and breakfast with its own bar, just off Lord Street. It has hosted bingo afternoons and live singers, and guests often praise the breakfast. Everyone is welcome.
  • The rest of the street is guest houses and small hotels.

Lord Street's community licence

Since April 2026 the council has held a premises licence, the Lord Street Community Licence, covering Lord Street between Queen Street and Pleasant Street. It sits behind events such as the Rainbow Quarter Street Party.

Nearby

Turn onto Egerton Road for St Paul's, the home of the LGBTQ+ inclusive Liberty Church, and onto Dickson Road for St Paul's Medical Centre.

Getting here
